Okay, so Egypt seems to have joined the southern hemisphere these past few days with a heat wave. I mean, it's kind of spring-y weather for us (like, around 28 degrees Celsius and stuff. In summer, it sometimes reaches 40), but still, what's up with that? I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, it started to get warm this early in the year like two years ago or something. Still, it kind of makes you think, "Oh my God, global warming is going to kill us all!" You know, in a sense.
Not that our winters are that cold. In fact, compared to a lot of other countries, winter here in kind of like spring. The temperature NEVER drops below 0 degrees Celsius, even on the coldest of nights. Consequently, no snow. Even though as a child I longed for it to be white outside, after actually BEING in real snow, I have come to know that it isn't THAT fun or easy to walk in. Especially if it were to be on a daily basis for two or three months.
People keep saying that the weather's going to get cold again, but according to Yahoo! weather, it won't really get cold by much for the next ten days, except it might rain and there's this one day where it'll be kind of winter-y. Only my previous experiences have taught me not to put all my faith in Yahoo! weather so much.
Let's just hope I don't get the flu from all this changing weather.
Check out some of the older stories on Life... you'll see what global warming has done to us in Rio. Two months of over 40ÂșCs, we are exhausted.

It's hot here too--compared to the normal, I mean. It's 0 degCelsius, and it's supposed to be around -20 ..! It's rare we have that and it's supposed to stay like that for the next couple of days at least!
ReplyDeleteAV, will do.
ReplyDeleteSarah, 0 degrees Celsius around here would probably bring the whole country to a standstill! :D
